Puntone, Solmine canal mouth
The only stretch in Scarlino where dogs can go in the water, about 2 km from the apartment. On Scarlino's other public beaches your dog can stay on a leash.
MapFollonica Bau Beaches
Two stretches of beach reserved for dogs, north of the Pietraia stream and the Fosso Cervia: access and swimming at any time.

At Puntone some beach clubs welcome dogs, such as Mamai Beach: ask directly about terms and space.

- The pine woods and trails of the Bandite di Scarlino start a few steps from the apartment; dogs must be on a leash in the reserve.
- The Marina di Scarlino harbour promenade, a 13-minute walk, for an evening stroll.
- The dog parks in Follonica, where your dog can run off the leash.

Are there dog beaches nearby?
Yes: at Puntone, by the Solmine canal mouth about 2 km away, and the two Bau Beaches in Follonica, where your dog can swim at any time.
Can I take my dog to Cala Violina?
Not from 1 June to 30 September: in that period dogs are banned at Cala Violina, except guide and rescue dogs. For a swim with your dog, go to Puntone, Balugano or the Bau Beach in Follonica.
